Expressways To Math®

Expressways To Math® I is used for remedial and regular training in basic math facts for 1st graders through adults. There are 94 lessons, each taking 30 to 60 minutes to complete successfully. They are provided with the expectation of at least 1 lesson per day for 4 to 5 days each week. Additional elementary programs teaching the telling of time and  money exchange  are also available for students at kindergarten thru elementary grade levels.

Level 1 and A-VIP

Expressways To Math® Level I makes use of the same A-VIP techniques used in Expressways To Reading®.  A-VIP is used to embed into permanent memory of fundamental facts of calculation.  Expressways To Math® then exercises and integrates the accumulation memory base so that the learner can apply it to developing math skills through computer games, recitation to music and rhythms, and contests.

Level I simultaneously integrates number theory, counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division as applied to practical situations.  The goal is to commit to memory the 400 math facts, to understand counting and number theory, and to be able to recall the facts for quick mental applications.  When the math facts are thoroughly mastered, students often generate computational speeds that rival electronic calculators.

Expressways To Math® II & III are used chiefly for fourth grade through adults for training in fractions, decimals, percentages, measurements, geometry, sets, word problems and other pre-algebra and higher math applications.  These learning systems help students excel in algebra and higher math in approximately one hundred lesson hours.  More elementary programs teach telling time and working with money exchange.

Level II and III

Expressways To Math® Level II involves telling time, handling money, inequalities, types of fractions and their processes, decimal numbers, ruler fractions, percentages, measurements in the English and metric systems, basic plane geometric forms, averages, estimates, ratio, probability, exponents, circles, areas of circles, volumes of solids, negative numbers, temperature and some advanced lessons for logical thinkers.  Each lesson has an interactive instructional introduction before a student is directed to perform the exercises.  Level III consists of the section of word problems from QuikComp®.

We expect at least 2 year's gain in 6-10 months of tutoring
